I can’t talk about slowing down without mentioning online versus offline life. Not to mention the irony that we’re relying on it even now. However, over the course of the next few days I encourage you to take long, intentional time and space offline. Access and contemplate the information presented and then bring it to life through real life practice.
We live in a hybrid landscape, digital and analogue, where a slow dignified exit is possible. In fact, you are the bridge as well as the gatekeeper. The moment it becomes indulgent, inharmonious, stressful, or loses its sense of inspiration and connection—check it.

I’ve found that part of the process of slowing down comes from the ongoing practice of being grounded and rooted. By grounded I’m referring to the extent at which our bio, psyche, and spiritual energies are gathered and tethered. When one is rooted, one is able to connect those energies with the Earth. This is a kind of compass you can access anytime, anywhere.

DAY 1 PROMPTS:

<aside>
What wants to be tended to more slowly?
What grows without my meddling?
What have I learnt about my capacity to take my own side—to take time for myself, to catch myself doing something right and being cool with it?
What arises when I simply stop pushing?
Is there enough?
Does slow and steady surface naturally when the force of urgency collapses?
Aside from perhaps swimming, what are a couple other practices where you can be completely offline? Do it today!
